Can I save potted bulbs that died until I want to plant them in the fall?

I purchased 2 different potted Mylar/Bulb flowers from the store 2 weeks ago and they are already dead. I don't even know what kind they are, but is there a way I can save them until the fall so they come back next year? (I'm a first time gardener as if you can't tell!) ha

Doug says that if the bulbs are indeed dead- then you can't save them or use them in any way. Sorry. If the leaves simply faded away then the odds are that the bulbs didn't get enough energy into them to survive a winter.

You could try planting them outside right now (if the bulb is still hard). If the bulb is softening, then I'd simply toss them into the compost.

I'd take them back to the store and ask for a refund. Otherwise, best throw them out as Doug says and count this as a lesson learned.

We all learn that lesson at sometime in our gardening life. Best get it over with at the start.

Keep smiling! This is my garden at the moment. Ha ha.
