corn gluten and grass seed

Hi Doug
I have planted grass seed but it is not sprouting. I seeded the area 5 days ago and nothing is happening. But, I think I know why...I spread corn gluten over the topsoil first before I seeded the area. Can you tell me what I can do now?? Should I just start over?
Thanks, Debbie
Doug says that if you put corn gluten down first and then the grass seed - you're right, you did wipe out your grass seed.
I'd suggest you put the corn gluten down in the spring and then grass seed in the fall. Corn gluten has an 'active" life of 6-9 weeks depending on temperature.
