feeding pumpkins

Do I fertilize the pumpkins once they start to grow?

Doug says if you want great pumpkins, then yes you get to feed a little compost tea or fish emulsion as they grow. Or you can enrich the soil with a lot of compost before they are planted to give them enough food to last the summer. This is for a regular pumpkin crop - for the monster big fella's you have to feed them weekly to keep them growing big.
