White Clematis

white clematis

This clematis was saved from an overgrown flowerbed full of weeds, and it was crawling along the ground because the trellis it had been on was broken. Now its crawling up the flagpole in my yard and has big, beautiful white and yellow blooms. Not sure what variety it is, but it's a great addition to my yard!

Soon to Burst Open

I planted this clematis four years ago when my husband was first diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemo. This was my first clematis. It had a couple of blooms last year for the first time. This year it was bursting with bloom and I was so excited. This is a close up of a tight flower head before bloom. It was so beautiful when it opened!

This year, we realized that the bees have colonized the roof of my house. My white globe thistle is in the flowerbed right beside where the bees come out of the roof, and they love the flowers. I never walk in the flowerbeds without my camera, and I was glad this day, because i came upon this globe thistle with two bees on it, and managed to capture this picture before they buzzed away.
