Poison Hemlock
by: Anonymous

"Smooth, spotted (purple) stem... deadly poisonous if eaten. 2-6' high (generally). Blooms late spring and summer." - from Newcomb's Wildflower Guide, a must have book for those interested in flowers!

Even juice on hands, if gotten in mouth can cause some illness!

CAREFUL!
by: Thindi

It's NOT Queen Anne's Lace! I'd guess it might be giant hogweed or even worse POISON HEMLOCK (the stem would be smooth/hairless). Watch out, do not touch, as hogweed can give you a burn (as someone mentioned before) and hemlock can kill you!

Beware
by: Heather

I think that it is giant hogweed. Very invasive and also phototoxic and can cause severe burns. If it is, it should be eradicated.

Cow Parsley
by: Amy

I think its a cow parsley, also known as Anthriscus sylvestris. It is a liberal self-seeder, so watch for babies!

Queen Anne's Lace
by: Rose

Looks like Queen Anne's Lace but I did not know they got that tall.
