Grandiflora Roses

by Rachel

Hello,
I need a few questions answered that I can't find on the Internet, they are as follows: How soon do Grandiflora roses bloom? Are they annual or perennial? What kinds of soil do they grow well in?
Thank you for your time, I am sorry if this is an inconvenience to you.
Thanks again,
A beginning gardener

Doug says - how soon? If you're asking do they bloom in the first year from planting - then a good rose will. If asking what time of year - then they should bloom by mid-June in a USDA zone 4 (you don't say where you are - sooner in warmer climates - like February in USDA 8)

Soils - good soil or clay. Sand and lack of water will reduce blooms.

Annual or Perennial? They're a shrub and should bloom year after year if they live (this depends on where you live and how you care for them over the winter)

As a rule of thumb, info on hybrid tea roses works the same way for Grandiflora roses.
