Sweet Annie
by: Anonymous

You may have already gotten my comment. It's Sweet Annie, a herb. Settlers formed it into a wreath and used it inside as an air freshener. It will form tiny seeds, which will dry and drop, and next year, you'll have lots of new plants. Or you can collect the seeds when they are totally dry.

Sweet Annie is a herb and has a pleasant scent--used many years ago as an inside air freshener when formed into a wreath

Looks like asparagus
by: Anonymous

That looks like asparagus gone to seed. Check it early in the spring for shoots, which you can cut down to the ground & they'll keep coming. Don't remove it now because the foliage is helping store energy for next season.
