In addition to the previous comment, from the narrow stem it appears to be a young plant that may have come up from a bulblet (that forms up the stem of the tiger lily)that dropped the year before and it may take a year or two for it to be large enough to bloom.

This is a tiger lily. It blooms in the summer. They drop seeds and they spread. They are beautiful!
