These are Zebrina hollyhocks. I started some from seed last summer.

Blue Mallow
by: The Garden Coach

Malva sylvestris (LINN.)
Yes, they are mallows. Related to the Marsh Mallow.
Stay on top of deadheading so it doesn't get to disbursing its seeds EVERYWHERE. Now would be a good time to cut it back harshly so it can't set any more blooms therefore setting anymore seeds.

Malva

What you have there are Malva Flowers. They are very pretty but can take over. They self seed and if are not pulled out when young they form a huge tap root which make them hard to pull out and control.

Purple Flowers

These look very much like my miniature hollyhocks, both in the striped flowers and the rounded leaves. They proliferate like crazy, both through runners and seeds. I have found new plants half an acre away from the existing plants. If you like them, you don't have to do anything to keep them because they grow like weeds. If you want to contain them or get rid of them, start pulling them out very vigorously and expect to see small plants for several seasons until you get them all.
