My two yr old silver lace started turning yellow and now seems to be dying, any ideas? i put some ironite around the base to no avail. zone 6, thx!

Doug says that Silver Lace Vine is pretty tough plant and hard to kill. No pests are going to stop it although Japanese beetles seem to like it.

Yellowing leaves are a symptom of several problems. It could be root damage - caused by over or under-watering. Or cultivation around it - or a dog pee-ing on it too much or any number of root damage issues.

Generally this plant does well in part shade but if you have it in too much shade, it's not going to thrive. So without knowing this - I can't tell.

I'm not sure what Ironite product you put around it - if it was the lawn food, you might very well have burned those roots off with too much Nitrogen. That would cause the leaves to go yellow. The remedy to that is to water like crazy and drive the excess nitrogen out of the soil so the silver lace vine can recover.

Good luck
