My Rose color is been changed

Hi,
One month back I have bought one rose plant. It is about 1.5 ft tall and had small sized Purple flower. I kept it with a bigger rose plant in a same 20litre pot. I water it regulerly. But now what i found my rose color is changed to red for the new blooms. Not only that the structure of the flower is also changed. I am realy astonished. Could you tell me how to get my old purple rose back.

Doug says it sounds like the rose root (the part below the graft) took over and grew a new rose. This is the reddish one. It also sounds as if the purplish one died out. So you have the root-stock growing instead of the desired rose. If the desired rose is dead, no growth at all, there is no way to get it back. Sorry.

Otherwise if it is still alive, prune off the larger rose that's taking all the energy from the plant and allow that energy to go to the desired purplish rose.
