Two things to identify it positively as a lily of the valley (which it looks like to me too): First, when it blooms it has one stem of very fragrant white bells. they are so fragrant that you may not even have to bring them to your nose to smell them! Second, it will take over your flower bed and yard if you don't barricade it! It is VERY invasive.
