Night Blooming Cereus

This is my night blooming Cereus. I have it as a potted plant as it would not survive in my East Tenn. area outdoors in the Winter.
Last week I had six blooms on it in one nite. Such beauty to last only that one nite. By morning they are closed to open nio more.

It's a very dreary, rainy, Sunday in Drexel Hill PA, but not on my computer. I found your website on google, I've been trying to identify my tall yellow daisies that bloom late August. I believe they're lilke yours. But I was taken in by your Photos. Do you live in Heaven? I was raised with a night blooming cereus. My whole family lived together, Grandmom, Grandpop, my aunt and uncle, mom and dad and two sisters in a row home with an alley way leading to about a 10 x 20' garden. My grandmom used to wake us up in what I thought was the middle of the night and with a flashlight, show us the night blooming cereus. She also always pointed out the scene of Bethlehem in the stamen. The star of Bethlehem, Mary, Joseph and the Baby Jesus. I still have a piece of my grandmothers plant, that was 50 years ago!! Your photo flooded my heart with a beautiful memory! Thank you, thank you for sharing all of your beautiful flowers. Marie

That is fabulous. I have never seen or heard of this flower but it is a winner!! What is its blooming season? Only summer/fall or all year round? Very pretty, graceful bloom. I love it.

Fantastically beautiful flower! So sad that like my night blooming moonflowers, they only put on their show after dark, but more than worth while staying up to see!!
