no fruit, flowers dry up.

my rasberries set fruit and then the flowers dry up. Plants are on a soaker hose one hour per night during the summer. I live where it is very hot 100-110 during the summer and they are planted in red clay and soil. gave them my chicken manure this fall and hoping for better luck this summer. What am I doing wrong?

Doug says that raspberries are not genetically suited to Southern heat. They are a cool-temperate plant and they simply can't take that kind of heat. They are not overly picky about their soil as the roots are very shallow (so even the roots get too hot - a deep mulch "might" help in marginal areas but 110 is far too hot)

Sorry.
