Beauty

This is the second year of this blossom but unfortunately it only lasts one day looks quite exotic they come in red, pink and yellow. I just cant find out the name.
I bought this packet about 3/4 years ago and was going to dump it so many times, i am so glad i didn't as this is the second year of blooms, so i will be looking after it, but i am no greenfingered talent.
Hope you can help.

One-Day Flower

It's definitely not a daylily -- I have bunches of those. That looks like a Trigridia - a Mexican shell flower. Go to this link for brief summary on care: http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/depts/hort/consumer/factsheets/bulbs-summer/tigridia.html

Looks and sounds like a daylily. I'm not sure of the type, but it is very pretty. You can divide the bulbs in the fall. Kind Regards, Shell
