I have seen seeds for Amaranth in heirloom seed catalogs (e.g. Baker Creek, Seed Savers, Grandma's Garden, etc.).

Amaranthus tricolor (Joseph's Coat)
by: Moni

It is an amaranthus. More specifically called Amaranthus tricolor (Joseph's Coat) the variety called Joseph's Coat is the one with all the color. Other A. tricolor varieties do not have the yellow or the red like 'Joseph's Coat' does. So that is the plant or seeds you need to look for.

Tall plant with variegated leaves

It's summer poinsettia, it's in the amaranthus family. It's an annual in zones 7 and under. It can be grown from seeds. The seeds can be harvested at the end of the season.

Wish I could help you with the name of this plant but I can't. But I do know one thing, when anyone figures out what kind of plant this is, I would love to have it in my garden too!! I will keep my eyes posted for any help you might get in identifying this plant. It is gorgeous.
