Overabundant wisteria leaves

We have NOT stakes our branches horzinatally. Is this the reason the flowers are hidden by the leaves? We have many more leaves than flowers. What could be causing this?


Doug says it's the nature of the plant to produce leaves and lots of them. If you're overfeeding, you may be producing more than normal (so cut back on feeding and only use compost). Otherwise, it's the nature of the beast. If you're really upset by it, prune off some of the offending leaves so you can see the flowers better.
