tall grass-like plant
by: Anonymous

as far as I can tell from the picture it sure looks like purple fountain grass to me ...you can buy annuals or perenial plants in it ...it will grow quite tall grasses ... and produce fuzzy plumes on the top ....

I have these but no name
by: Sandy

I have gobs of these every year. They reseed but I collect some in the fall just in case. Butterflies, bees, birds, etc. love them. I always plant some in front of my windows so I can watch the action while inside. The foliage is pretty and the 3-4' tall stalks are very sturdy. The long, fuzzy type blooms are very pretty and turn whitish brown in the fall. That is when they are ready to release their 100's of black, tiny seeds but they are not invasive. They are a little later than other flowers poking thru the ground each spring so I have to be patient. I have no disease or insect problems with them and they don't need much water. They grow great here in zone 6. I have had them for about 5 yrs but cannot remember the name of them. Usually I keep info on the seeds and plants I have but somehow this one fell thru the cracks. I will take a bloom to a nursery soon and get their name so I will finally know what they are. I will post the name here when I find out.

I appreciate the help

Pink Spiked Flowers
by: JoAnn

Appears to be a variety of Celosia, maybe wheatstraw?
