Plant food that's good enough

Is Miracle Gro a good enough plant food for annuals in pots?
Doug says, - you've hit the nail on the head with this question. Is it "good enough" I guess I'd have to ask, "good enough for what?"
Good enough to grow annuals? Yes, you can clearly grow a basket of annual flowers with this product.
Good enough to qualify as organic? No, it isn't organic so if that matters to you, then you know enough not to use it.
Come from a company that doesn't pollute? Well, Scott's has a history of polluting in it's production of fertilizers. Is that "good enough" and do you want to support this kind of corporate behavior?
Are there alternatives that are "good enough" as well and are organic? Yes, there are - fish emulsion for one - and products produced from soybean bases for others. Read the labels for certified organic fertilizers.
So what's "good enough"? I don't use it - because I want something that's organic and (hopefully) doesn't contribute to global warming and pollution at any stage of its manufacture. It isn't "good enough" for me for that reason.
Is it good enough for you? You get to be the judge.
