Bachelor Buttons make wonderful cut flowers, too. They last a long time and are quite striking in a mixed bouquet.

Cut it back for longer bloom!
by: Amy

I have this plant in three different colours: blue, white and pink (the pink is centaurea dealbata). Anyways, I find if you deadhead them regularly you can extend the bloom season for several weeks, and also, if you eventually cut them back when the blooming dwindles, they will send up new growth and rebloom. They will reseed themselves if you let them, so if you want new plants, leave some of the flowers on to set seed! :)
