Planting tulips in early summer

I was just wondering if tulips are okay to plant in may? I really want to start my own little tulip garden and to tell you the truth...Im very anxious!


Doug says wait till fall. Any tulip bulbs you can buy now have a high chance of being dead anyway (having been stored over the winter without planting). This doesn't apply to potted tulips, they can be planted outdoors now (after you carefully take them out of the pot and plant them at the same depth as they were in the pot) No, they won't rebloom this year.
