Plants around Pine or Cedar trees

What plants will grow under Pine or Cedar trees?

Doug says - "around" cedar or pine. Darn near anything will grow around them if you give them some light and plant at the edge of the tree branches.

Now "under" those trees - nothing will grow/thrive because of the extremely low light levels and dry soils under these plants.

Mulch does quite nicely there however. :-)
