Actually, I think that is a tradescantia, or spiderwort. :-D

I grew mine from seeds. They could either have rhizone or tubers. They spread. I've never pulled them out

Search for Commelina coelesti on Internet and compare the plant and flower to see if it matches. Does yours grow from a bulb, tuber or rhizome? One source stated that it does, and that it is cold hardy.
