green berry stalk
by: Tracey

I picked this same plant yesterday. It was a single stalk stem with white on the end. I thought it was interesting. I have been searching for what this is all morning, driving the hubby crazy! At one point I thought it was poison ivy berries, then blackberries, but now I am convinced it is the Jack plant you are referring to.

Its a Voodoo lily. For sure.

I have this plant in my yard in Seattle, WA.
Its the flower and seed stem left from a voodoo lily or Dracunculus vulgaris. Google it. You'll see.

could be...

Jack In the Pulpit berries

I vote for Jack in the Pulpit berries. Seeds are poisonous by the way, although it is certainly grown as a garden plant many places.

possibly a jack in the pulpit?
by: Amy

It could be a ginseng, but the berries look very similar to a jack in the pulpit's seedheads...hard to tell with no leaves! Hope you figure it out!

looks like young ginseng that has yet to get it's leaves,

I don't know what it is either but I think it is very cool! What a nice surprise to stumble upon it.
