Definitely iris. Will need to be divided at some point to continue blooming.

I agree that your plant looks like an iris. They are very beautiful, large flowers and you are fortunate to have them. Wait until after they bloom to separate them. Also, they really like to have three "fans" each if possible. The fans are the leaves that grow outward like a lady's fan. If it isn't possible to get three, plant them anyway. They are pretty strong.

These beautiful spring flowers come in a multitude of colours and also sizes, even a dwarf variety. The roots/corms can be separated and divided and planted for future flowers. One thing I notice about an Iris, it likes the top of their toes (the closest to the upright stem) to be exposed to the sun, so if you want flowers be sure not to bury them.
