Something's eating my honeysuckle vine

We planted the vine in a container against a trellised wall in May 2007. It has grown and looked well until a couple of weeks ago we noticed it was looking too sparse for it's size. Something is eating the leaves, large circular bites.
Some new growth is drying up dying.
What could it be, and how can I treat it?

Doug says - think rabbits, chipmunks. Maybe slugs. A little diatomaceous earth will stop slugs - sprinkle it around the base of the pot and the base of the plant (and on the eaten leaves)

Rabbits and other critters, you're on your own there. :-) Hav-a-heart traps work well and you can find them at feed or country type stores (although I don't know how many of those you have in Vegas. :-)

Good luck
