"SURPRISE"

we were turning our compost pile faithfully until we started building block walls.
We forgot all about the compost pile and one day all the vines lead to a little pumpkin.
To our delight the "little" pumpkin made 4 huge deep dish pies.

I LOVE IT!!! BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I want to move back up North where I can grow things... adorable picture and surprise... Is there anything better than pies made from fresh pumpkin????? I don't think so. I made a fresh pumpkin pie for my German friends when I lived over there. They'd never had anything like it and really enjoyed it. They eat pumpkin pickled with the little onions, etc!!! Can you imagine!!!

I like surprises, especially edible surprises! When we moved into our present house we found wild brambles in the garden. Yummy.
