can swiss chard be started from seed indoors, and later transplanted into the main garden area?

Doug says that indeed swiss chard can be planted indoors and transplanted (as can most vegetables) the only question is whether you want to do this amount of work. :-) Compared to direct sowing this easily germinated seed outdoors where it is to grow.
