Do NOT cover the roots too much with mulch!! Read online about these...they are very pickey about their feet.

You can transplant peoonies in the spring...especially recommended in cold climates/short growing season, so they can get established before winter. Beautiful and happy plants!

Peonies can live for many years. Sometimes the blooms get so big that they will need to be held up with a stake or wire. If you transplant, do it in the fall or not at all! After it flowers, it will gradually decline; leave it to gather food for next year's flowers. Lovely plants.

These are Peonies. I've had these for many years. They come in white, pinks, reds, very easy to grow, beautiful bouquets. You should get more than one flower per plant. Each plant is one color, not multi. At the end of 3-5 years, you break up the root, and have more plants. The ants do have something to do with the blooming, so shake them good before bringing them into the house. Enjoy!
