Tulip Bulbs Sitting Around Not Planted Last Fall

I purchased tulip bulbs in fall 2007 but forgot about them until the ground was too frozen to plant. I kept them in the box in which they were shipped on a shelf in my garage. Is there anything I can do with them now?

Doug says they're likely dead. But if they're still very hard and firm, then I'd plant them and see what happens. If you let them sit for the summer too, they will be dead by fall.

What have you got to lose?

Martha,
I would try the firm bulbs like Doug says. I had some Iris bulbs that a friend gave us & it was too late to plant them. I did have to toss some out but I now have an abundance from what was good. Good luck!
