sloped yard for vegetable gardening

I have planted vegetable gardens for years on very flat yards. We recently purchased a new house and the back yard is quite sloped. I know good soil is good soil, but what affect with this have on my garden? I can just imagine everything growing crooked. The attached picture was taken from about half way down the back yard.

Doug says, it won't make any difference to the plants. :-) They'll continue to grow straight up and down.

On steep slopes, you have to set up terraces to prevent erosion and make it easy to physically work the ground. You could do this here if you wanted to but the slope isn't bad enough to overturn a lawn tractor or large tiller so safety isn't a concern.

Terraces could be easily constructed once the ground was worked up and grass removed if you wanted to clearly hold the soil in one place.

While pictures can be deceiving, the top part you can see of this doesn't look bad at all.
