Mayapple

I live in Missouri, and they do look like Mayapple. Be careful, my research shows the fruit under it is very poisonous

That looks like mayapple, juvenile plants, when there are 2 leaves, there will be a small flower between them. Generally a woodland plant, when they get some sun they really take off.
Where I come from....

Not 100% sure....but in Indiana where I live we have plants very similar to that and they are mayflowers.
