eleagnus
by: emily

I have a similar shrub which flowers in April -May with a heavenly scent. I thought that it was an eleagnus but all my gardening friends say no, yet no one can identify it so I'm sticking to eleagnus until proved wrong. Isn't it lovely?

I think it's an Autumn Olive

We had someone come to us to identify what appears to be the same flowering shrub. We feel we have successfully identified it as Elaeagnus umbellata (Autumn-Olive) after searching the internet and comparing growth patterns with the person who has it on her property. Good Luck!!!
