Peace Lily
by: Anonymous

This is a peace lily, you dont mention where you live, but if it bloomed, you dont live in Fargo! I completely leave mine alone, I dont dig it up, just trim off the dead blooms, and let it do its thing. It will multiply on its own.

Can you check with the former owner of the house to see how they treated the plant? Or, take the photo to a local nursery and ask their advice. Without knowing exactly what type of plant it isn't possible to give advice. I know that in my zone (6b), both callas and spaths have to be lifted for the winter. I would wait until the bloom is done and some more brown comes on the leaves to do so.

Pull or not

I think they look like a arum/cally lily too. Do you think I need to pull the bulbs from the ground for the winter or can I leave them in??

Arum lily
by: Merilyn

Hi
it looks to me like an arum lily - you can google images for Zantedeschia aethiopica, and see if you agree.

Looks like a Calla Lily to me.

Not sure if a peace lily
by: Marisa

I am not sure if it is a peace lily. The stalks are about the size of a loonie in diameter and the plant bed is about 4 feet long. It reminds me of a hosta, except for the lily. Before the lily came up, I thought it was a form of hosta.

Could It Be a Peace Lily
by: Bob

I believe it is a Peace Lily – Spathiphyllum.
