Definitely Yucca!

I live in Pennsylvania, and just moved to a new home that currently has five growing in the yard. I remember my mother cultivating one in our yard almost forty years ago. I am not sure of the variety of Yucca, but I am sure of the genus.

Also have heard it called a meat-hanger plant. Probably because the stem is so strong. Maybe you could hang a ham in a smokehouse on one of these stems.

Adams Needle

This is Adam's Needle. Very drought tolerant. Also a good "peeping-Tom" deterent if placed by windows. LOL!

Yes, this is a specific variety of Yucca filamentosa.

Definately

Most definately a Yucca...and getting on up in years as well. I find that mine add a stalk or two of flowers every year. They are very hardy plants and can be transferred easily by digging up the roots, but if you want RID of them, they are the hardest thing to get rid of all the roots!

Yucca

As with most plants, there are so many varieties it is hard to say it is NOT something based on any given detail. I believe it is a variety of yucca.
