Japanese Windflower

Here in Sydney we call them Japanese Windflowers, and they come in pink or white. Beautiful things, and once established, quite hardy.

Looks like a White Japanese Anemone (Windflower). Beautiful shade loving perennial (usually). Count yourself lucky to have it.

I don't think it is bloodroot (sanguinaria canadensis) as the foliage is wrong.
