yellow flower/dark green leaves
by: maggie

I have similiar plants which my grandmother was invited to take from a neighbor's garden 50 some years ago. I planted some from my Mom's garden two years ago and they are beautiful and do spread. I will be moving during the winter months and wonder if I can pot some of these and keep them indoors or in my garage to overwinter so I can plant in a new garden next spring? Please adivise!

Lysimachia vulgaris

May not be "vulgaris", sure looks like yellow loosestrife tho. May be in primrose family. I have some too, which probably "volunteered to come up. Supposedly an invasive, noxious weed. May pull mine out, as I don't love it.

I thought they might be some sort of primrose too, but I can't seem to find any that look just like these do! Very frustrating!! :D

I am with you on Evening Primrose. Seems there are over a hundred varieties but it does look like one of them.
